Australia March-April 2016 Trip Report, Part 8 - Belle's at Montville

Hello everyone,

In the previous part of this report I shared with you the things we did while in Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast. While on the Sunshine Coast we stayed at a retreat style accommodation in the mountains, away from the city, called Belle's at Montville (I also talked about the town of Montville in my previous post).

Belle's at Montville is a luxurious self contained cottage retreat, run by the amazing Julie and Noel. There are just three cottages, of varying sizes. The Belle Amie is the smallest, then there is the Belle Amour, and finally the Christo Belle. Although I had only booked the Belle Amie, Julie and Noel were extremely kind and upgraded us to the Christo Belle for the entirety of our stay, since it was available.

Words cannot even begin to describe how stunning and beautiful the cottages are, and the setting is a paradise. Completely surrounded by the lush, mountainous wilds of the Queensland forest, Belle's is perfect for couples who really want to escape from it all.

The cottages are modern, clean and very well equipped. Julie provides you with fresh food and juices daily, and if you need or want anything else, Julie and Noel will welcome you up to their home with open arms and help you in any way possible. They were the perfect hosts in a perfect location, and I cannot thank them enough for all they did.

You get to see an array of wildlife while staying in the mountains at Belle's, including some really pretty birds, possums (the Australian marsupial kind), and of course spiders. Really BIG spiders! The photo of the possum below is really bad since I only had my phone with me one evening, and it was pretty dark, but I wanted to share it nonetheless.

I would not hesitate to stay at Belle's again, and highly recommend it to everyone.

Have a great day everyone,

Dan.
