LEGO The Beatles Yellow Submarine, A Review

Hello everyone,

Today I am going to take a look at The Beatles Yellow Submarine (set number 21306), from the LEGO Ideas range.

The set contains 553 pieces, including four minifigures. The set retails for around $59.99, plus any applicable taxes, and you can purchase it here, on Amazon.com.

Around the really funky box:

Construction was split into five fairly easy stages.

Over all I would give this set five out of five. I actually really love it! I think it was a fantastic set for LEGO to approve from the LEGO Ideas creative forum, and they did such a good job of executing the finished product. The minifigures of the Beatles are just perfect, and I love the Jeremy monkey! The submarine itself is very well designed, with enough space for all the four members to sit, along with space for their accessories. The colours are great; the consoles inside are cheery and appropriate; the plaque on the minifigure stand is a nice inclusion to get the logo in there; and even the box and the instruction manual are well designed and colourful. A truly excellent set that pays a very neat homage to such an iconic group.

Have a great day everyone,

Dan.
